You rule the same trial balance on the board every year.

Every lesson, the bell wipes it off.

And a practical needs a lab, a technician and a slot three weeks out.

Give every class a page that comes ruled, and a bench that always works.

Infinite whiteboard and notebook

Rule a ledger, run a titration, ask a question.

Inkdesk gives you an endless sheet of paper with the formats already ruled, a chemistry bench that actually reacts, and an assistant that reads what is on the page before it answers. It runs on your machine and keeps your work there.

In short

What Inkdesk includes
PartWhat it is for
Ruled formats 26 accounting formats for Class 11 and 12, from the Journal to a cash flow statement, plus tables, charts and Cornell notes.
The assistant Speak or type. It reads what is on your screen, works the problem and writes the answer onto the page as real objects you can move.
Chemistry bench Glassware and 31 reagents. Precipitates settle, gases fizz, indicators read the real pH.
Notebooks Students keep notebooks and pages. A school keeps classes, subjects with their teacher, and chapters.

01

The formats are already ruled

Pick a Journal, a three column cash book, a trial balance or a bank reconciliation statement and it lands on the page with the columns set and the totals in place. T format accounts are headed Dr. and Cr. with the heavy centre rule, and amounts sit right aligned where they belong.

Growing
Drag the bottom edge and the format gains lines at their proper height. It never stretches the ruling.
Typing
Tab moves across a row, Enter moves down and adds a line when you reach the last one.
Safety
Dragging a format smaller gives back blank lines only. It stops at anything you have written.

02

An assistant that has read the page

Say "Hey Ink" or press the microphone, and ask. It looks at what is on your screen, not a vague memory of it, then writes the working onto the board beside your notes. One undo takes the whole answer back.

Reads
Typed text, tables cell by cell, and your handwriting through a vision pass.
Draws
Headings, wrapped text, tables, charts, arrows and highlighter.
Honest
If it cannot read your handwriting it says so rather than inventing what you wrote.

03

A bench where the reactions are real

Open an experiment page and the bench appears. Put out a test tube, pour in barium chloride and a sulphate, and the white precipitate forms because the chemistry says it should. The panel gives you the pH, the temperature, the observation and the balanced equation.

Apparatus
Beakers, flasks, tubes, burette, cylinder, burner, tripod, thermometer and stand.
Behaviour
Precipitates settle, carbonates fizz, indicators follow the pH, a lit burner heats what stands over it.
Recording
One button writes the observation and the equation onto the page as ordinary notes.

04

It still behaves like paper

Pressure sensitive ink, a marker, a highlighter and an eraser that takes strokes or pixels. Handwriting faces for when typed text feels too formal. Everything exports to PNG, SVG or PDF, with tables kept as selectable text rather than flattened into a picture.

In a line

A sheet of paper that knows what a trial balance looks like, and will tell you when your barium chloride turns the tube white.

A working page

How most pages come together

  1. Start a page in the notebook you are working in

A whiteboard page for notes and formats, or an experiment page when you want the bench.

  2. Drop in the format, or write by hand

Press F for the format list. Or take the pen and write. The two mix on the same page.

  3. Ask when you get stuck

The assistant reads the part of the page you are looking at, which keeps its answers quick and relevant.

  4. Keep it, or hand it in

Work saves as you go. Export the page when you need it somewhere else.

Questions

Things people ask

Does my work leave my computer?

Your pages are stored in your browser or the desktop app on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded. The one exception is the assistant: when you ask it a question, the part of the page you are looking at is sent to the model so it can answer. Turn board context off with the eye button and even that stops.

Do I need to pay for the assistant?

You supply your own OpenRouter key, so you pay whatever your own usage costs, directly to them. The key lives in a file on your machine and is never sent to the browser. The rest of Inkdesk works without a key at all.

Which browsers does the voice feature work in?

Chrome and Edge use the browser's own dictation. Opera ships the interface for it without the engine behind it, so Inkdesk notices and falls back to recording your voice and having it transcribed. Where neither is possible, the microphone button opens the typing box and tells you why.

Are the chemistry reactions accurate?

They cover what a Class 11 or 12 student is asked to observe, and they are tested: copper gives no hydrogen with dilute acid, limewater turns milky only when carbon dioxide is genuinely being produced, and marble needs sustained heat before it decomposes. It is a teaching set, not a research simulator, so treat it as a way to rehearse a practical rather than to predict new chemistry.

Can a school use this with several classes?

Yes. Choose the school option when you first open Inkdesk and the library changes shape: classes at the top, subjects with the teacher who takes them inside each class, and chapters inside those. You can switch between student and school later without losing anything.

What happens to a page I started before an update?

It opens as it was. Pages are stored in a versioned format and older ones are read and repaired on load, so a notebook from an earlier build keeps working.
